You've been asking a lot of questions about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the birth of Jesus, the resurrection, what it means to be a sinner, etc... the last couple months. Daddy and I suspected that you might make a decision to follow Jesus sometime this year, especially seeing as we had both made that decision around the time we were 5 years old.
We arrived at AWANA a little early tonight, so we sat in the van with the heater on and music going for a few minutes. We had been talking about the Bible verse this week and you said "Well, I am just going to ask Him right now". I asked you what it meant to ask Jesus in to your heart and you told me about the birth of Jesus, why he came to earth, how he had to die for us and be raised again. You knew, you got it! And then you prayed the sweetest, most sincere prayer and asked Jesus in to your heart. I was so excited and happy for you that I had tears in my eyes and gave you a hug.
